Welcome to Dosbarth Afan, our nurturing and inspiring nursery class at Llandough Primary School. This is a wonderful place for children to begin their learning journey, where curiosity is encouraged, confidence is built, and every child is valued as an individual.

In Dosbarth Afan, we create a warm, welcoming environment where learning happens through play, exploration, and discovery. Our experienced staff support children in developing key early skills in communication, creativity, and social interaction, helping them grow both academically and emotionally.

We are proud to offer a rich and engaging curriculum, with plenty of opportunities for outdoor learning, imaginative play, and hands-on experiences that spark a love of learning from the very start.

Our current topic is “Where do I belong?”. This is a wonderful theme as it helps children explore their sense of identity, family, and community. Through stories, discussions, and creative activities, children begin to understand what makes them unique, while also recognising how they are part of a wider group. It supports the development of confidence, empathy, and a strong sense of belonging within our class and beyond.
